Just mere months ago, an apocalyptic wild fire raged through the panhandle of Texas, where a large supply of the nations beef and other livestock come from. Over 1.5 million acres of scorched Earth remain in the wake of the blaze. Not only were land and property left in ruin, countless heads of cattle were lost as well.
While there's a daily arm wrestling of funds in DC slated to go to Israel and Ukraine, our own farmers and ranchers who desperately need relief for them, their families and communities, no one is talking about it with any degree of urgency and authority with the exception of Lee Wells. Wells is a rancher, restauranteur, entrepreneur, pastor, speaker and now, documentary film maker working on "We're Here" a film that captures the devastation of the fires and the heroic voices of the people that fought and continue to fight for their land and more importantly, a way of life that is deeply ingrained in the American spirit and our story.
